These are examples of old age make-up you can achieve using old age stipple. It was a beauty shoot for a cosmetics company to show wrinkles on the face and not so much the ageing, hence I left the eyebrows and eye make-up as it was before the wrinkly make-up shots.
The tricky bit with old age stippling on young skin is the wrinkles won't be as obviuos. Stippling for old age is a process of stretching the skin and applying liquid latex. The skin needs to be stretched until the latex is dried and then powdered over, before the skin is released. This process can be repeated several times to achieve the desired wrinkle effects. The result will enhance the appearance of old age, although not so much on younger skin. In order to achieve proper old age skin effects a whole different process of old age prosthetics is used. This however can take several weeks as the model's face need to be casted and the cast will be filled with foam latex or sillicone which will be sculpted according to the character's age - think Benjamin Button. The prosthetics that are ready will then be applied using adhesives and then coloured with alcohol based make-up. Age spots, thinning hair, sunken eyes, sagging skin and old teeth are all part of making the prosthetics effects look as realistic as possible.
